The head of the multibillion-dollar Durst Organization, is rushing to court to find out how confidential family secrets were leaked to a filmmaker for a new documentary about his cross-dressing, accused-killer brother Robert, who was acquitted of dismembering a neighbor.

In the emergency filing, submitted just five days before HBO is set to air its six part documentary “The Jinx: the Life and Deaths of Robert Durst,” Douglas Durst says some footage may include his own legal depositions plus those of Robert and his second wife that are under a strict confidentiality order.

The potential disclosures include a list of Douglas’ assets and a deposition where Robert calls his brother a “pussy” for hiring a bodyguard, a source close to the case told The Post.

Charles Moerdler, an attorney for Douglas, says he will not try to block the documentary, which he refers to as a “sensationalized docudrama,” from airing, he only wants to know if the leaks were illegal. Once he determines the source Douglas may then pursue additional legal action, Moerdler said.

The confidentiality order was a requirement for a purported $65 million payout Robert received in 2006 to cut ties with the family business, which co-developed One World Trade Center.

Douglas wants to grill “Jinx” filmmaker Andrew Jarecki to find out how he got the videotapes and if he knew they were supposed to be sealed.

The confidentiality agreement also bars the family from talking to the media about the settlement. Douglas says he learned from Robert’s attorney at the time of the settlement that Robert and his wife Debrah Lee Charatan demanded the attorney hand over the videotaped depositions instead of destroying them.

Jarecki answered the suit in a searing statement to The Post.

“We are not surprised that the Dursts would continue their long pattern of threatening us over this series,” the filmmaker said.

“But what we still find surprising is that in all the talk in their legal letters about square footage, real estate and money there is not a single mention of a beautiful young girl named Kathie Durst — a member of their family — who disappeared in 1982.”

In a preview of the documentary Robert admits that he had a violent relationship with his first wife Kathie Durst, who mysteriously disappeared in 1982. But he insists he wasn’t involved in the incident.

Yet when law enforcement re-opened the investigation in 2000 into her disappearance Robert fled to Texas where he disguised himself as a mute woman.

That’s where he was later acquitted of killing and cutting up the body of an elderly neighbor.

Just last month the creepy scion was found not guilty of trespassing at his nephew’s W. 43rd Street home.

Outside court Robert told The Post, “I’m not spending my time running around 43rd Street looking for a chance to shoot Douglas. Douglass thinks that — ever since we were little boys. The shrinks once said, ‘Your brother’s scared of you. We don’t know why.’”
